UPDATE AS OF 11:37AM ON 3/29/2020

Hello Wichita and our Northrock bowling family...
This stinks. Our lights have been dark for nearly a week now as we do our best to wait patiently and see what happens with this COVID-19 situation. We have no choice but to live this life on "pause" and when the local, state or federal government tells us it's safe to resume business, you can believe our doors will be back open.

We're looking ahead and working on a list of things we can accomplish while being closed to the public. Our head mechanic is working diligently to clean up the lanes and machines while balls aren't rolling down them and our General Manager is working on a website re-design along with managing Northrock's social media platforms, scheduling some social media LIVE Q&A's, perhaps some coaching tips videos among other things. If YOU have any idea on fun things we could do to help entertain our bowling family while they wait at home eager to get back to the lanes, please let us know. What social media video/live would YOU like us to do? Email your ideas to manager@northrocklanes.com and maybe we can make it happen, together!

Obviously, league bowling IS NOT happening as we're not open to the public. Because of the varying technological abilities of our league members, we're asking that all of our leagues please be patient and allow this situation to pass so that we can re-open, host a meeting for each and every league to discuss what each league wants to do. We recognize that some leagues may want to vote and simply end their season, but, beleive it or not, we're confident that some leagues will elect to go ahead and finish their season. Typically, this is time of year when we here some of our customers "jones-ing" for good weather and summer time activities... but you realize what you love most when you're unable to see and/or do it. It has been obvious that this world loves and misses bowling already and we're hopeful that many of you will want to get back on the lanes once this is all over. If you have any questions regarding league bowling, please feel free to reach out to our General Manager via email at manager@northrocklanes.com.

When we have more information, it will be posted here. Thank you, god bless and stay safe!

UPDATE AS OF 2:14PM ON 3/23/2020

To say this process has been difficult would be an understatement at best. As of 5:00PM today, Monday, March 23rd, 2020, Northrock Lanes will close to the public. We will re-evaluate the situation in 2 weeks time (estimating April 6th).

All Northrock Lanes leagues are postponed until further notice and once we reopen, we will host a meeting for each league to discuss what to do from that point forward. We appreciate everyones patience as we work through this process together.

We love bowling... and we know that our staff and guests also love bowling... but to ensure the safety of those who enter our building while also trying to protect the jobs of those we employ has been a difficult task. We thank you, our customers, for your continued support throughout this situation and we all look forward to welcoming you back to bowling as soon as possible. Until then, please take every precaution possible to stay clean, calm and healthy.

UPDATE AS OF 6:22PM ON 3/18/2020

League bowlers, be aware that our conference call system had been working find up until our 6:00pm call with the Northrock Mixers league. For some unknown reason, the call failed and we were unable to get it restarted. Cory and Brent are working to find a solution but until one is found, we're postponing any further conference calls.

As of right now, the Chiefs Have-A-Ball league is still scheduled to bowl tonight at 8:45pm. Our only scheduled league for Thursday 3/19/20 is the Stressbusters.

Cory spoke with USBC rules this morning and they made us aware that leagues no longer have to abide by the 100% vote rule to disband or alter their rules (modifying pre/post bowling, splitting the league into multiple groups to stay underneath the 50 customer ban applied by Sedgwick County, etc.)

Our hope is to find a way soon for team captains to meet and decide what their league wants to do. Once Cory and Brent figure out the best way to make this happen, we will update everyone here at www.northrocklanes.com/COVID-19. Thank you for your patience.

UPDATE AS OF 3:36PM ON 3/17/2020

We have modified our hours of operation during this time. As of now, we will be open from noon until 10:00pm every day of the week. We are still open to open play customers who are looking for a social outlet although we are limited to 50 customers in the building at a time (per the county mandate) and doing our best to practice social distancing by spacing people out across our 48 lanes. Feel free to call before coming to see how busy we are. 316-636-5444

Northrock Lanes is attempting to schedule conference call type meetings with all leagues to discuss each leagues future. As long as the governament allows us to be open (as of today, allowed to have 50 people in the building not including staff), it is our belief that some leagues will want to attempt to finish their season and other leagues will want to take a different action. We are taking every precaution to keep the facility as clean as possible and practice social distancing by seperating bowlers and lanes as much as we can.

CONFERENCE CALL SCHEDULE (for leagues who are not bowling this week):

Midian-Metro Shriners - 6:30PM 3/17/20
Bud Light Invite - 8:00PM 3/17/20
Irvin Dow Memorial - 12:30PM 3/18/20
Northrock Mixers - 6:00PM 3/18/20

DIAL-IN NUMBER: 605-313-6362

These conference calls are open to any and all of our league bowlers. We do ask that talking be kept to a minimum. Brent and Cory will go over some general points of interest before any discussion is had. We're hopeful to keep these calls to a 30 minute max and create action plans for each league during the call.

Chiefs Have-A-Ball - 8:45PM 3/18/20
Stressbusters - 6:30PM 3/19/20

We have not yet decided on any other leagues as of today. These are the leagues scheduled to bowl in the next 72 hours so that is where our focus is currently.

As of now, the Southwest Tournament has been postponed until May 1. Jack Story, Tournament Director, is the point of contact for this event. His contact info can be found at www.swbowling.com.

You can expect an update here from Northrock lanes every single day as long as we're still open. Thank you.

A Note To Our Guests About The Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Like so many of you, we have spent the last several days and weeks learning about the coronavirus (COVID-19) and how it is impacting our community.  The top priority at Northrock Lanes is the safety and well-being of our guests and team members.  Regardless of the environment, this is our top priority every day.
We are actively monitoring the guidance of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on the steps we can take to help prevent the spread of the virus.  While we always strive for exceptionally high standards for cleanliness and safety, we have shared specific instructions with our team members on the importance of additional measures we are taking at this time specifically the importance of washing their hands and staying home if they feel sick or are returning from an area of the world identified as posing a coronavirus related risk.
We remain committed to providing you and your family with a great guest experience and hope that these measures give you confidence that we are taking the necessary precautions in this evolving situation.
There is no issue more important to us than making sure we manage this situation as effectively as possible, so you continue to feel confident visiting us.  For additional information about COVID-19, please read the latest report from the Centers for Disease Control at www.cdc.gov.
